PAT ( Promotion of Alternative Technology ) is the programme where Youth  will be get introduced the alternative and sustainable approaches in information technology.

Here also we give extreme importance to  Free and Open Source Software

This project involve lot of training and much more campaigning :

Our focus include, but limited to:

* Promoting FOSS based Operating Systems in Campuses , clubs and home and office uses.

*Trainings on Open Office  Applications ( So that they can work comfortably on their educational/office/home needs not depending on licensed proprietary softwares)

* Training on Audio and Video and Image Editing Tools ( We love community Media- We really want to promote community/campus radios and Citizen TV initiatives)

* Adopting Wordpress- A content management system to easily build websites- (We highly recommend the youth involved with us to have a good Web presence)

* Conferences on Social Media- Awareness on the  Potential use of Internet and Web

* Trainings on  Open Educational Resources

* Locally relevant content generation.

We also give special attentions  to NGOs and Civil Society Organisations to use the potentials  of Information and Communication Technology, especially Free and Open Source Software.
